BCZF Flyers

Bristol Comic & Zine Fair is nearly here!

We have been giving out flyers all over the place, but still have more to shift! If you are able to take a batch to distribute to mates/work/clubs/events, we have pick up points in Cotham and St George. Drop us a line and we’ll give you a bunch!

You are cordially invited to a BUCKS QUIZZ BCZF SPECIAL so put on your best tie, cancel your plans (and cancels your best pals plans too), and smash those piggy banks!

For this years fundraiser we’ve enlisted the help of Bristol’s very own Quizzard to test your general knowledge, comics credentials, and zine making abilities in a very special BCZF edition of the best pub quiz in town. We’re also bringing back Alice Urbino who’ll be with us all night drawing on the spot animal portraits of your lovely lot! Everyone wants to see their face on a dolphins body, right? AND IF THAT’S NOT ENOUGH: face painting, raffle prizes AND an unlucky dip!

Just like last year you’ll need to exhange your human money for special BCZF tokens on the door! These can be exhanged for nightmarish animal portraits, entry into the quiz, raffle tickets, and face painting. And WE turn that money into Bristol Comic and Zine Fair. Everyone wins!

The Bristol Comic and Zine Fair team works hard to keep tables affordable and the event free to attend for the public. This year we’re adding a slate of free workshops and talks to our programming and we need a little extra cash to cover the costs! We’re getting closer thanks to your generous support but we’re still a couple of hundreds away from our target!

Thank You!

Thank you so much to everyone who came down to The Volunteer Tavern on Saturday night. We managed to raise the money we needed to run our Creative Youth Network workshop series in September.

Special thanks to Peter Gibbs for hosting our fundraiser and putting on a stellar performance as the frontman of FAKE NEWS. Also to Rhi B for encouraging the audience to part with their dough and support our project. And of course to the rest of the band: we couldn’t have done it without you!

Thanks pals, you ROCK!

Comix Karaoke

We can’t promise we’ll have every song from the Westlife back catologue but we CAN 10/10 guarantee BANGERS, BEERS, & BANTS!

The Bristol Comic and Zine Fair team works hard to keep tables affordable and the event free to attend for the public. This year we’re adding a slate of free workshops and talks to our programming and we need a little extra cash to cover the costs!

Thanks for applying!

Hello everyone!

We have now sent out our responses to the many, many applications we received for Bristol Comic & Zine Fair 2017. We had so many great applications and we are really sorry that we couldn’t accept more of you.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the day, and watch this space for more events in the run up to BCZF 2017.

Lots of love,

BCZF 2017

We are pleased to announce that Bristol Comic & Zine Fair will be returning to The Station on Saturday 7th October 2017!

We will be opening applications later in March. Watch this space!

Thank You!

What a day! We had a blast at Bristol Comic & Zine Fair and at our Karaoke After Party.

Huge thanks to The Station for having us again (our fourth year there). A great venue where we feel very welcome and have brilliant support from the staff.

Thank you to our team of volunteers: Tom, Robyn, Katie and George. Special thanks to Takayo Akiyama and Michael Adebayo for helping us set up the tables!

Thanks to Chloe from Not Now for showing people how to pull a screen print, and to CF Sherratt for live painting a giant comic (some panels still available to buy – details to follow).

Love and thanks to Roll for the Soul for feeding us and welcoming us back for another belter of an after party.

Thanks to Eileen for capturing the day so beautifully in these photographs.

Thanks to Fat Flyers for printing our posters & flyers (by CF Sherratt) and Alice Urbino for drawing our Karaoke After Party poster.

Thanks to Lisa and Pete from Ink Soup for our Warm Up Party at the Surrey Vaults.

Thanks to all of our exhibitors. The quality of your work and passion for comics and zines are things to be proud of. Keep it up!

Lastly, thanks to all who attended and supported our event. We hope you enjoyed the day!

Follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to share your photos from BCZF. We’d love to see all the loot you went home with.

See you next year!

Love from

Amy, Esme & Hannah
